Pte. MARLOW A. 9651 9th (Service) Battalion Buffs East Kent Regiment

Marlow, Albert. DoD: 17/11/1918. Age: 39. Son of George and Ellen Marlow (Noakes) both of Sandhurst, Kent. Units: 9th (Service) Bn. (East Kent Regt) and 301st Labour Corps Regt. Occ: Traction engine driver. Cemetery: St. MARGARET’S, HORSMONDEN, KENT. (Grave location unknown).

Pte Marlow doesn’t have a Commonwealth War Graves Commemoration as he died a civilian after being honourably discharged from the Army.

Many of Pte Marlow’s War Records were badly fire and water damaged during the extinguishing of the fire when the Army Repository in Wandsworth was hit during a German air raid in 1940. However careful, painstaking research pieced together enough information for this military/family record.
