Horsmonden Charities

Horsmonden Charities continues to help many people in the village and pupils at the
Horsmonden Primary Academy have also benefited.

Who we Are: We are custodians of a legacy donated in the 17th century which has been
invested, looked after and periodically distributed to help residents living in the village of
Horsmonden who have a particular need.

Our Aims: To support the elderly who we assess to be in financial need giving them regular
monetary assistance.

To support the young in their education where there is financial difficulty for example helping
with school trips.

The trustees work to look out for those in need. Our trustees are currently people who work and
live in the village. Robin Black (Chair) Maddy Adams (secretary) Ali Knott, Jenny Dixon, Neil
Rigby, Kate Hart-Dyke, Jan Cobley and Hayley Sharp (school representative)

To carry on our vital work: We would greatly appreciate donations to keep our charity
buoyant. This can be done in the following ways:

  • One off payment
  • Standing order
  • Legacy in your will

Would you be interested in joining the committee?

Ways that we can help: Do you know someone elderly in Horsmonden that might need our
support? Please contact us (confidentiality will be maintained) so that we can assess and
assist.

Do you run an educational group for children where our support would enable disadvantaged
children to benefit/attend?
Please contact us so that we can assess and assist.
