Gun and Spitroast
An historic 16th century inn
Set on the green in the middle of the village. The Gun and Spitroast is renowned for its famous Spitroast meals and families are especially welcome.
This Inn, first licensed in the 1570’s was said to be the place from where the gunfounder John Browne directed his business, and the Inn was a posting for the stage coach in years gone by, although the car park has now taken the place of the stable block.
